Daniel Nelson is one of the original founders of Datical, and serves as the CEO. Prior to Datical, Daniel was Founder and VP of Products at Phurnace Software, a maker of cutting-edge application deployment and configuration software for large enterprises. Phurnace was acquired by BMC Software in December of 2009. After the acquisition, Daniel served BMC as Director of Product Management, focused on Business Automation. Daniel has spent the past 16 years in the software business, and has both a BA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2010, Daniel was honored with the Rising Star Award from the McCombs School of Business.
Datical enables open source solutions to be consumed by enterprise level customers. Starting with database schema management, Datical was founded to industrialize open source point projects for Fortune 1000 clients.
