Joe Aragona is one of the founders of Austin Ventures and has served as a general partner since 1982. He has a successful track record of investing in a broad range of industries including software, services, and special situations. Joe joined Austin Ventures from the Merchant Banking division of the Bank of Boston.

Joe received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Harvard University. Joe served on the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) from 1999-2006, chaired its Research Committee and is past Chairman. Joe is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Lance Armstrong Foundation (livestrong.org) which empowers people affected by cancer, and Casa Montessori, an early childhood development center.
